Born in Mexico, Maricarmen Salazar has always been interested in art expressed in painting. Her painting is inspired by the variety of color in her home country, and enriched by her multiple trips abroad. She started her studies at the Art School of Michoacán, and then took several courses in painting with well known art teachers in Mexico. She obtained a degree in Art by the Penn Foster School  in Pennsylvania,  USA.

Her education includes many different courses in Human Behavior and Human Development.
